Marlee Alcina performs a crankie inspired by her inner child she met in a dream. This performance at the Weeksville Heritage Center was a part of a book launch event for “Pretty Little Brick: Rituals of Rage, Safety and Pleasure.” This book project was funded through the MET museum’s Civic Practice Partnership in 2024.

Marlee Alcina performs an act as part of Bread and Puppet Theater’s circus in December, 2021 at Theater for the New City. This act was written and directed by Marlee in collaboration with Peter Schumann and other members in the company. The act is inspired by the Tulsa race massacre that occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1921.
